Littelfuse has expanded its DC Disconnect Switch line with the addition of the LS7R series offered in current ratings up to 500A at 1500VDC. This new series accommodates emerging applications that need higher current handling capability.
When attempting to isolate circuits or repair systems, the user needs to be able to interrupt the flow of current to stop shock hazards and damage to equipment. The LS7R products are energy-efficient, compact dc disconnect switches that quickly break or resume current flow safely.
The streamlined design of the DC disconnect switch removes the requirement for external bridging links or jumpers. This lowers heat dissipation for improved energy efficiency, reduces installation and maintenance time, and decreases its footprint for added design flexibility.
Offered in various voltage and ampere ratings, the DC disconnect switches are applicable for photovoltaic or energy storage systems, electrical vehicle chargers, oil and gas, railway and UPS systems.
