Front-end AC/DC power supplies are a cost-effective bulk power solution

The Artesyn Embedded Technologies LCM600 Series of 2U high distributed power front-end AC/DC power supplies offers a cost-effective bulk power solution. This solution is available now from TTI Europe.

The series includes five models, providing outputs of 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V or 48V, together with an optional 5V standby output. Each model accepts a universal input of 85–264VAC and has a typical full load efficiency of 89%. Carrying industrial and medical safety approvals, these power supplies can produce up to 600W and give versatile bulk power for various industrial, medical, defence and process automation applications. They are particularly suitable for systems that use a DPA or POL scheme. A built-in OR-ing FET enables up to ten units to be connected in parallel for high current applications.

These digitally controlled power supplies provide an I2C interface that enables the output voltage to be programmed up to 20% on either side of nominal for voltage margin testing.

Typical applications areas include industrial, medical, defence and process automation.
