OKW's innovative and elegant new SLIM-CASE for mobile devices is now offered in a smooth-top version for fitting with displays, pushbuttons and LEDs.
This ergonomic IP 54/65 case is the new-generation handheld enclosure for mobile measuring and control applications, IoT/IIoT, wireless communications, offices, healthcare, laboratories, safety engineering and environmental technology.
The case underlines its aesthetic credentials with an essentially frameless, low-profile design and soft contours that improve the ergonomics. There is an abundance of space inside for PCBs, plug connectors, interfaces and sensors.
As well as the smooth-top version, there is also a 1mm recessed top for product labels or a 1.6mm recessed top for a touchscreen or membrane keypad. Each of the three variants can be selected with or without a soft-touch TPE intermediate ring for further comfort and impact protection. This provides a selection of six versions in total.
The enclosures are provided in one plan size (M) – 148mm x 74mm – and two heights of 19mm (without TPE ring) and 22mm (with TPE ring). Inside there are PCB mounting pillars in the top and base.
The case is moulded from tough, UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) for indoor and outdoor use. For extra security, the enclosures are constructed employing tamperproof Torx T8 stainless steel screws.
