The Molex Mini50 Sealed wire-to-device receptacle, available now from RS Components, offers significant space savings over traditional USCAR 0.64mm connectors. These wire-to-device receptacles employ smaller pins, terminals and wire gauges while offering protection from water and dust ingress. The rounded shape allows for through-hole routing. The product has a mating assurance feedback device that prevents accidental un-mating.
The product delivers a 0.50mm connector interface tested to meet full USCAR specifications. It has no parting lines on sealing surfaces and offers an IP68 rating and IP69K with backshell. A cavity plug is available that Delivers design flexibility. It enables multiple circuit counts within the same connector that simplifies inventory. Reduced package sizes shrink the footprint by 25% compared to USCAR 0.64mm unsealed interfaces. It also reduces PCB footprint by 30% compared to four-circuit connectors.
