HVC offerings extended with new compact high-voltage contactors

TDK Corporation has enlarged its range of bipolar DC high-voltage contactors to incorporate the new HVC43 (B88269X3**0C011) series. These products complete the current range by delivering continuous currents from 150ADC to 250ADC and operating voltages of up to 1000VDC. The contactors are available in 12V or 24V coils with a power consumption of 6W.

The new series types offer compact dimensions of 78mm x 40.4mm x 74.5mm (L x W x H), weigh 300g, and are 30% smaller and lighter than the HVC200, HVC300, and HVC500 types, created for voltages of up to 1200VDC and continuous currents of 500ADC.

The contactors comprise a hermetically sealed gas-filled ceramic arc chamber, providing excellent extinguishing properties, and are designed to swiftly shut down high direct currents of lithium-ion batteries in vehicles, charging stations, or energy storage systems.
