Amphenol RF has expanded its cable assembly portfolio with MMCX cable assemblies developed on ultra‐flexible 0.81mm micro‐coax cable. These 50-Ohm assemblies are available in a single configuration – MMCX right‐angle plug to AMC4 right‐angle plug – with extra assemblies being released shortly. These compact and flexible assemblies are ideal for making connections between PCBs and modules in tight spaces and are often employed in IoT infrastructure.
MMCX connectors are constructed from brass with gold plating while the ultraminiature AMC4 from a silver‐plated phosphor bronze body. The assembly provides secure and reliable mating with the quick connect/disconnect snap‐on coupling mechanism. The assemblies provide reliable electric performance up to 6GHz.
These cable assemblies are part of a growing collection of solutions developed to satisfy the demands of applications that are growing smaller each day. They join a robust variety of MMCX assemblies engineered on a mixture of micro‐coax cable types.
