Minimal footprint AC/DC power supplies for ITE/IoT and industrial applications

Traco Power has released its new TPI 50-AJ series of 50W high-density AC/DC power supplies available in 3" x 1.5" x 1.2" open frame packages for a wide-range of industrial and ITE applications where reliability is critical, and space is limited.

The devices offer a compact and cost-efficient design, with peak power function up to 70W (5 secs) and I/O reinforced isolation 3000VAC. They have -40C to +60C full-load operation (natural convection) and an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C, no load input power <0.3W (acc. ErP directive). The devices provide a high efficiency up to 93%. They have Internal EN 55032 class B filter and IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 (Class I & Class II prepared) approval.

The series is designed to satisfy the demand for cost efficient solutions and reduced footprints. 140% peak power allows replacement of units nearly twice its size. Higher operational efficiencies and extended convection-cooled operating temperatures make the series an excellent solution for demanding space critical applications. High reliability of 1.487 million hours MTBF (MIL-HDBK-217F, ground benign) is supported by its three-year warranty.
