Amphenol RF has expanded its cable assembly portfolio with fixed length AUTOMATE Type A Mini-FAKRA quad-port jack to SMA plugs or jacks designed on low loss TFC-302LL cable. These pre-configured assemblies offer a highly flexible end-to-end solution enabling PCB to device connections with no tooling or extra assembly. The cables are excellent not only for automotive applications but are idea for industrial IoT space where there is currently a large shift towards autonomy. These cable assemblies are provided off-the-shelf making them excellent for lab usage and in the early stages of product development.
The connector is constructed with a compact modular housing and quad-port configuration which provides a space savings of up to 80% compared with conventional FAKRA. The Z-coded connector is universally keyed, ensuring intermateability with all other mini-FAKRA key codes. A frequency range up to 9GHz makes it outstanding for high-bandwidth camera and other data transmission applications. The snap-on interface is an automotive industry standard and offers quick and easy mating and unmating. Also, the threaded coupling mechanism of the SMA connector delivers secure locking.
This rugged cable assembly is obtainable in two configurations – quad-port AUTOMATE Type A Mini-FAKRA straight jack to four SMA straight jacks and four SMA straight plugs in 6" and 1m. Its durable construction makes it excellent for commercial and industrial applications.
