New screw terminal capacitors with extended cathode construction

New Yorker Electronics has released the new Cornell Dubilier Electronics DCMC Series of aluminium electrolytic capacitors. With more capacitance and frequently more ripple-current capability than its best-value Type 3186 capacitor, the device is the better option for high-capacitance, power supply filters and energy storage applications, including welding equipment, UPS systems and computer hold-up power.

These capacitors are constructed with an extended cathode Thermal-Pak. They supply improved heat transfer due to a continuous heat conduction path from core to case. The extended cathode foil of the DCMC assures cool operation with heat flow from the capacitor element to the can. In addition, it’s lightweight with increased shock and vibration performance and longer life.

They now offer voltages ranging from 6.3VDC to as high as 550V rated (600V surge) and capacitances ranging from 110UF to 3,240,000UF. They are provided in standard can, stud bottom can and stud with thermal pad options with seven terminal post alternatives. They are also offered in polyester, PVC or no insulation.
