High current jumpers offer higher rated current than thick film jumpers

14-11-2022 | Stackpole | Power

Zero-ohm jumpers are commonly employed in a wide variety of markets and end products. The devices are available now from Stackpole Electronics. They make circuitry routing simpler and make manufacturing easier. Jumper needs for higher current levels frequently surpass the capability of general-purpose jumpers. The maximum current rating for thick film general purpose jumpers is just 3A and high current thick film jumpers commonly will only handle up to 10A.

For high current jumper demands, the company provides its HCJ Series. The series handles up to 70.7A with overload current ratings of up to 158A. This enables the series to be employed for a broader range of jumper current demands and will be less sensitive to surge current events.

The series is AEC-Q200 qualified and RoHS compliant without exemption. Typical applications include switching power supplies, battery packs, and chargers, VR modules, DC to DC converters in power adapters, and a wide range power and battery management implementations.
