The Texas Instruments SimpleLink 2.4GHz CC2662R-Q1 device is an AEC-Q100 compliant wireless MCU aimed at wireless automotive applications. The device is optimised for low-power wireless communication in applications, including BMS and cable replacement.
The device supports the company's SimpleLink wireless BMS (WBMS) protocol for robust, low latency and high throughput communication. It offers functional Safety Quality-Managed classification, including TI quality-managed development process and future functional safety FIT rate calculation, FMEDA and functional safety documentation. The device is EC-Q100 qualified for Grade 2 temperature range (–40C to +105C) and is provided in a 7mm x 7mm VQFN package with wettable flanks. The MCU has a low standby current of 0.94µA with full RAM retention. It offers an excellent radio link budget of 97dBm.
The device is part of the SimpleLink MCU platform, which comprises Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHz MCUs, and host MCUs that all share a common, easy-to-use development environment and rich tool set.
