Review Display Systems has introduced a range of large format e-Paper display modules. Three e-Paper display modules are available initially, these include a monochrome 13.3" display, a colour 25.3" display and a monochrome 31.2" display.

The display modules use the latest e-Paper technology that deliver energy efficient, paper-like features and can be powered by a lithium battery. Power consumption is less than 0.01W when the display image is static, and less than 3.5W when the display image is being updated.

The display modules function in reflective mode by reflecting ambient light and can operate in bright sunlight without any impact on the user viewing experience. Display images and content can be readily seen and viewed from a wide viewing area.

The three large format display modules provide the following specifications:

The monochrome 13.3" display module features a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, a 4:3 aspect ratio, and 178°/178° degree (up/down, left/right) viewing angles.

The four-colour 25.3" display has a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels, a wide 16:9 aspect ratio, and 178°/178° viewing angles. When employed with dynamic voltage control, the four colours, yellow, white, magenta and cyan can combine to create a colour palette of up to 60,000 colours.

The monochrome 31.2", has a resolution of 2562 x 1440 pixels, a wide 16:9 aspect ratio, and 178°/178° viewing angles.

The fully integrated display modules provide built-in hardware peripherals to support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G to allow remote updating and ease of maintenance. Built-in mechanical mounting features enable ease of design and fast installation. Weatherproof mechanical enclosures support an IP65 rating which enables reliable outdoor use even in wet environmental conditions.

The optical and operating features of the large format e-Paper displays are excellent for digital signage applications such public information terminals, retail signage and public transport systems.
