Automotive-grade high current jumper for high-reliability applications

16-07-2024 | Stackpole | Passives

Zero-ohm jumpers are integral components in various electronic circuits, serving multiple markets and end products by enabling easier circuitry routing and simplifying manufacturability. However, the demand for jumpers handling higher current levels often exceeds the capacity of general-purpose jumpers. In high-reliability applications such as engine controls, voltage regulators, and battery management, options for high-current jumpers are scarce.

Stackpole Electronics’ CSFA series automotive-grade high-current SMD jumpers provide a robust solution. They can handle currents up to 70.7A with overload current ratings reaching up to 158A, surpassing the capability of general-purpose thick film jumpers, which commonly only a few amps. This makes the series ideal for a wide range of high-current applications, providing improved reliability and reduced sensitivity to surge current events.

The series is AEC-Q200 qualified, anti-sulfur per EIA-977, and RoHS compliant without exemption.
