Connectors target automotive lighting and infotainment plus power

The latest additions to the growing A-series PPAP connectors offer space savings and flexibility in rugged conditions.

Samtec, Inc., has released new additions to its A-Series family of parts, which include a Level 3 Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) package ideal for automobile applications. The series of 100+ connectors is suited to space-constrained, rugged applications within the vehicle. The latest additions incorporate right-angle and edge connectors, specifically targeting automotive lighting, infotainment, and power designs.

The company also provides a full catalogue of connector and cable products for EV charging infrastructure and C-V2X systems and cables and connectors for system debugging.

The A-series of ERX8 RA (0.635mm Edge Rate) and UMPX RA (2mm mPOWER) connectors feature right-angle configurations to support flexible and space-constrained designs, particularly in lighting and power applications. The new series versions of the Samtec MECF and MEC6 series, including Mini-Card and GenerateTM series edge connectors, are ideal for infotainment and traditional vehicle camera systems.
