Vishay's four new series of TRANSZORB and PAR transient voltage suppressor are now obtainable from the Rutronik portfolio. The series 6DFNxxA, 6DFNxxxCA, T6NxxAand T6NxxxCA are offered in the particularly flat and compact DFN3820A housings with wettable flanks, which allow for optimal use of the PCB space. They are excellent for automated assembly and offer moisture sensitivity level MSL-1 according to J-STD-020 and an LF peak of 260C. The components were developed to protect sensitive devices from voltage transients. Typical applications include BMS, central control units or DC-DC converters.

The four new series are also available in Vishay's small and ultra-low-profile 3.8mm x 2mm x 0.88mm DFN3820A packages. The Wettable Flanks enable AOI, eradicating the need for X-ray inspection.

The TVS are available as industrial-grade TRANSZORB and automotive-grade PAR versions, whereby the PAR components are AEC-Q101 qualified and can withstand temperatures of up to 185C.

They tolerate peak pulse power of up to 600W at 10/1,000µs and have a low leakage current of only 1µA. They feature matt tin-plated leads that meet the requirements of the Class 2 JESD 201 whisker test and have excellent clamping ability, with a maximum clamping voltage of 16.7V to 70.1V for the 6DFNxxA and T6NxxA series and 16.7V to 137V for the 6DFNxxxCA and T6NxxxCA models.
