Innovative design meets high efficiency with new series of industrial DIN rail power supplies

The RACPRO1 family from RECOM is now available from Rutronik. The range comprises industrial DIN rail power supplies, eFuses, and redundancy diodes for usage in extremely demanding applications, such as harsh industrial environments, and outdoor applications in the renewable energy sector. The RACPRO1-T240, -T480, and -T960 series of power supplies have a universal AC and DC input voltage range of 3 x 320V to 3 x 575VAC and 430V to 850VDC in the 240W, 480W, and 960W power classes. Thanks to the innovative design of the DIN rail clips, the devices can also be mounted and dismounted without tools.

These power supplies have a back-EMF strength of more than 35V at 24V to provide improved protection against possible damage caused by back-EMF and, therefore, ensure safe and reliable operation.

The power supplies also do not need extra cooling components, as they attain high output power solely through convection cooling. In addition, the family's power supplies impress with their continuous overload capacity, which enables them to deliver a 150% increase in power for up to five seconds to handle high loads such as system starts. These features save space and costs.

They enable a high packing density with an especially slim design of just 43mm, 52mm or 80mm and an extremely high efficiency of up to 96.9%. The low power dissipation achieves an exceptional lifespan of over 80,000 hours. The service life of the capacitors is greatly extended due to design and material selection improvements. This makes it possible to perform qualification tests of 1,000 hours at 85C and relative humidity of 85% at nominal voltage or up to 2,000 hours at operating temperatures of up to 125C or 150C in an endurance test.

Further benefits include maintenance-free and tool-free push-in terminals at a 25° angle and DIN rail (IP20). It offers extended surge strength up to 6kV at the input with increased reverse voltage strength of >35V at the output and an extended temperature range from -40C to +70C. They offer a lifetime of over 80,000 hours, with tool-free installation and plug connection.
