New high-performance DC-DC converters for industrial and railway environments released

CUI Inc., a Bel group company, has announced two high-performance isolated DC-DC converters, the PRC300 and 600 series. Both are designed with 4.2kV isolation to support engineers in e-mobility, railway, and industrial industries.

The PRC300 series offers a host of special features, including a wide input voltage and operating temperature range, reinforced insulation, and baseplate cooling, and is UL/EN/IEC 62368-1 certified. The PRC600 series delivers 600W of power in a compact brick package and positive and negative logic options, ideal for a variety of industrial and high-voltage applications. Further features include remote ON/OFF control and output voltage trimming.

The industry-standard half and full brick packages offer a high input voltage range of 180VDC to 400VDC and a broad operating temperature range between -40C and 100C, making them ideal for harsh environments. The converters provide comprehensive protection features, including overcurrent, overtemperature, overvoltage, short circuit, and input undervoltage protections. They also meet EN 61373 and EN 45545-2 standards to ensure the highest level of safety possible.
