Two thick film resistor series deliver high power dissipation

21-11-2024 | Bourns | Passives

Bourns, Inc. has announced its Riedon Model PF2203 and PFS35 Series High Power Thick Film Resistors by Bourns. Adding to the company's broad high-power resistor line, the two series are offered in compact TO-220 and DPAK packages, providing low inductance, exceptional pulse handling capabilities, and elevated power ratings of 35W that allow enhanced circuit stability and measurement accuracy.

The series features a wide resistance value range from 10 megohms to 51 kilo-ohms, a temperature range of -55C to +175C, and resistance tolerance options of ±1% and ±5%. The company provides these resistors to match market demands for greater power dissipation in smaller packages. Surface-mount packaging, such as the DPAK supplied with the Model PFS35 Series, is also popular for its ability to help lower manufacturing costs.

These thick-film resistors' features make them excellent solutions for satisfying current limiting, current measurement, and capacitor discharge requirements in various applications, including industrial motor drives, AC/DC and DC-DC power converters, and BESS.

The Riedon Model PF2203 and PFS35 Series High Power Thick Film Resistors by Bourns are available now and are RoHS compliant.
