Amphenol RF expands its wide portfolio of FAKRA connectors to include a new sealed IP67 straight crimp plug option designed for industry-standard TFC 302LL cable.

Amphenol RF has introduced a new IP67 FAKRA straight crimp rear mount bulkhead plug into its wide automotive and industrial portfolio. This plug is specifically designed to support TFC 302LL and comparable cable types, offering reliable mechanical and electrical performance and low-loss capabilities. This FAKRA plug is colour-coded and mechanically keyed for easy installation and is available in various key codes including the universal Z code. These interconnects are ideal for automotive and industrial automation applications such as sensor integration, automated inspection and vehicle communication networks.

The rear mount bulkhead feature enables the connector to be mounted through a panel or enclosure wall, supplying a stable and secure connection point. This plug is sealed in mated and unmated condition, ensuring no contaminants enter. A gasket seals the interface internally, while an o-ring seal sits between the flange and panel mount for extra security. The FAKRA plug is constructed with ruggedised, high-performance plastic housing over a nickel-plated diecast zinc alloy body and flange. It also offers a gold-plated, brass centre contact and a nickel-plated, copper ferrule.

This 50-Ohm FAKRA plug provides reliable, high-frequency data transmission up to 6GHz. Standard straight crimp die sets terminate the connector to the cable. It joins a robust offering of FAKRA connectors and cable assemblies available as off-the-shelf solutions.
