A new eco-friendly range of electronic components

12-02-2025 | Schurter | Industrial

Schurter offers 'Green Line', a collection of quality products based on plant-based plastics. The new line is part of its sustainability strategy. The company's mission is to deliver high-quality products with significantly lower CO₂ emissions. Particularly, the goal is to lower the CO₂ footprint of the portfolio by 50% by 2035. This will be achieved, among other things, with more sustainably produced products.

These sustainable components help to lower the carbon footprint while maintaining the highest standards of functionality and safety. Bio-based plastic leads to a CO₂ reduction of up to 68% compared to the fossil plastic employed previously.

As well as CO₂ reduction, the bioplastic is also outstanding in terms of safety and quality. It satisfies all technical and visual requirements. Products made from bioplastics provide the same exceptional performance and service life as those made from fossil, crude-oil-based plastics.
