Delta has released a series of high-power panel mount power supplies, the new PMS Series with 750W, 1,200W, and 2,500W models. They feature optional 24V/48V voltage outputs and support peak power, ideal for equipment requiring extremely high instantaneous power when activating, including collaborative robots (cobots), motor drives, and other inductive-load applications. They also have active current sharing, which automatically adjusts output power for parallel-connected power supplies. This would prevent the overloading issue that results in overheating or operation termination of power supplies, enabling stable operation for high-power automated industrial equipment.
These high-power supplies are in a 1U low profile and are supplied with a universal AC input voltage ranging from 85VAC to 264VAC. The series is designed for installation in limited spaces. These units have shock and vibration certification IEC 60068-2, with a wide operating temperature range from -20C to +70C.
The series panel mount power supplies feature built-in active PFC, which lowers unnecessary power loss and waste heat, reduces harmonic distortion damage, and provides a stable power source. They also offer high efficiency, high power density, and compact design to save more space for control cabinets. Their intelligent fan speed control ensures efficient cooling while maintaining low acoustic noise, suited for end-user applications such as medical environments and retail sales.
Conforming to the PMBus communication protocol for real-time monitoring and remote control ensures instant warning for abnormal operation. They are certified to international safety standards such as IEC/ EN/ UL 62368-1 for audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment, ensuring the safe operation of IT equipment. They also comply with SEMI F47, making them appropriate for critical factory automation processes and semiconductor equipment.
