Signal generator frequency extended to 44GHz with frequency converters

18-03-2025 | Anritsu | Test & Measurement

Anritsu Corporation has announced the extension of vector signal frequency up to 44GHz by combining its Vector Signal Generator MG3710E with TMY Technology, Inc. frequency converters. This solution supports various tests for developing and manufacturing 5G and satellite application products. The 6GHz to 20GHz and 24GHz to 44GHz frequency bands facilitate high-speed, low latency, wide-area coverage, and stable communications at high data rates. These bands are used by Wi-Fi 6/7, UWB, 5G, satellite, and other applications. With its simple, flexible, and cost-effective configuration, this solution outputs signals up to 44 GHz.

As a result of this collaboration, the companies are helping improve device quality by providing efficient test solutions for communication device development and manufacturing.

The Anritsu MG3710E is a cost-effective vector signal generator with up to two RF ports in a single unit. Each port can output RF signals with a frequency range of 100kHz to 6GHz and a maximum modulation bandwidth of 120MHz from up to two waveform memories.

The TMYTEK UD Module is a Broadband Up/Down Frequency Converter Module supporting 6GHz to 20GHz, expanding the application scenario range. Moreover, TMYTEK's frequency converters feature outstanding stability and precision, assuring accurate and reliable test results.

The TMYTEK UD BoX 5G is An Ultra-Broadband 5G NR mmWave Frequency Converter supporting 24GHz to 44GHz. With the built-in local oscillator (LO) from TMYTEK's phase-locked oscillator (PLO) product line to ensure exceptional phase noise performance, the UD Box makes radio frequency conversion easy and flexible.
