With the Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2, Intel is expanding its Ethernet 800 series with a performance-optimised, versatile 10/25GbE adapter with two 25GbE SFP28 ports. This adds another option to the Rutronik range. The series offers network adapters with different port numbers and form factors for the efficient and powerful use of server processors. The network adapters deliver higher application throughput for demanding cloud workloads, optimised packet classification, and sorting for high-bandwidth networking and communications workloads. The series offers speeds from 1GbE up to 100GbE and supports new and improved features such as ADQ, DDP and support for iWARP and RoCEv2 RDMA. The network adapters provide workload-matched performance and the flexibility to meet changing network requirements.

The series continues to evolve, enabling developers to directly benefit from workload-optimised performance and flexibility to meet changing network requirements. Features like reliability and proven interoperability with fast data transmission round off the components.

The series delivers increased security through HW Root-of-Trust and authentication when reading the NVM and switching on. It offers improved performance and lower costs thanks to support via SFP+ and SFP28 transceivers and better manageability through support of PLDM headers, which allows for more flexibility in FW management.

The Ethernet Port Configuration Tool (EPCT) allows flexible port and speed combinations for the 100GbE 800 Series network adapters. EPCT provides a versatile solution for high-density, port-constrained network environments - turning one port into eight 10GbE ports, four 25GbE ports and more - with up to six configurations.

Typical application areas include Cloud workflows: Edge services, web servers, database applications, King servers and storage targets; high bandwidth communication workloads: Mobile Core, 5G RAN; and high-performance servers: NFV, storage, HPC-AI or hybrid cloud.
