Mouser has announced a new eBook in collaboration with Samtec, examining the challenges of high-speed designs and the new cable technologies arising to address them. In Samtec Flyover Solutions Break Next-Gen System Architecture Constraints, a range of the company's thought leaders provide rich insights into how recent technology breakthroughs have allowed noteworthy advancements in electronics designs. The eBook's five chapters cover themes including routing high-speed signals, high-speed signal integrity, twinax cable technology, and fibre optic cable systems.

Engineers who design new applications utilising high-speed signals must confront various challenges, including skew, differential signals, signal integrity, and electromagnetic interference. The new eBook provides actionable insights for engineers to overcome these challenges by utilising the company's cable assemblies and connectors. The eBook incorporates product information for ten Samtec solutions, concluding each chapter with two relevant design components. The High-Speed Cable Assemblies comprise several series of micro-coax and twinax cable assemblies. Featuring the company's Eye Speed cable technology, these high-performance cable assemblies provide excellent signal integrity and ribbonising to remove discrete wires. The AcceleRate Slim Body Direct Attach Cable Assemblies provide 8, 16 and 24 differential pair options and a high-density two-row design.

The new eBook also provides information on the ExaMAX High-Speed Backplane System. The system decreases crosstalk via an innovative wafer design, while press-fit tails provide a reliable electrical connection. This system supports various industries, including automotive, defence, medical, AI, and 5G networking. The Flyover QSFP Cable Systems provide improved signal integrity by flying critical data over lossy PCB materials. The cable systems offer an ultra-high-density design, including sideband signalling via press-fit contacts to increase airflow.
