Texas Instruments' AM570x Sitara ARM applications processors are made to meet the extreme processing demands of the modern embedded product.
These devices bring high processing performance over the maximum flexibility of a fully integrated mixed processor solution. The devices also join programmable video processing with a highly integrated peripheral set.
Programmability is delivered by a single-core ARM Cortex-A15 RISC CPU with Neon extensions and C66x VLIW floating-point DSP cores. The ARM processor allows developers to keep control functions separate from vision algorithms programmed on the DSP and coprocessors, therefore decreasing the complexity of the system software.
Additionally, TI offers a complete set of development tools for the ARM and C66x DSP, including C compilers, a DSP assembly optimiser to simplify programming and scheduling, and a debugging interface for visibility into source code execution.
