Improving Dev Experience with MC Expresso & Open Source Hardware - NXP at Embedded World 2023
The NXP presentation at the Embedded World 2023 event highlighted several new products and features aimed at providing the best developer experience in the market. The focus was on middleware delivery and software services that can be easily integrated to make coding easier.
Some of the key products and features mentioned are:
- MCU Expresso ID with an early version already available, and all four ideas are to be in general release in July
- A centralized directory of all available packs for easy access by customers
- Visual Studio Code integration with the blue boxes is already done for customers to make the process easier
- Streamline delivery of partner code through Urban census packs on all IDS
- Basic football team viewers application launch pad to be released in May with examples from experts to help customers
- Open Source Hardware Abstraction to be released in the second half of the year
