Diodes Incorporated has released the PI3WVR14412Q, an automotive-compliant 20Gbps 1:2 video switch for in-cabin infotainment and ADAS applications. This device provides a space-saving design and is qualified for elevated temperatures.

The device is a versatile solution with its four high-speed lanes boasting a 10GHz bandwidth. It can handle various connections, including DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, MIPI DPHY/CPHY, USB 3.2, and LVDS. The switches for hot-plug detect, HDMI display data channel), and DisplayPort auxiliary signals further enhance its adaptability.

The switch can pass high-speed differential signals up to 1.2V peak-to-peak and allows a common-mode voltage from 0V to the supply rail, which can be up to 3.3V. This wide voltage range allows DC signal coupling, allowing designers to save PCB space that is otherwise required for AC-coupling capacitors.

The device is automotive-compliant and qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 2. It is manufactured in IATF 16949-certified facilities and supports PPAP documents. The wide ambient operating temperature range, from -40C to 105C, permits deployment in demanding environments or locations exposed to direct sunlight.
